Last Sha'ban, the Admissions Committee of the Saudi Authority for Certified Appraisers granted membership to 50 real estate appraisal professionals who passed the personal interview, fulfilled the membership requirements, and completed the course on international appraisal standards andand Code of Ethics for the Valuation Profession, out of 65 applicants.

The Authority’s Admissions Committee continues to conduct personal interviews with applicants seeking membership in the Authority, as the deadline approaches for non-members of the Authority engaged in real estate appraisal to cease their appraisal activities, in accordance with Ministerial Decision No. 531 dated 3/6/1435 AH, which mandates that anyone practicing the profession of real estate appraisal must obtain membership in the Saudi Authority for Accredited Appraisers by March 20, 1437 AH.

Membership in the Authority grants practitioners the right to provide appraisal services in the Kingdom, and the need for their services in courts is increasing to establish rights, particularly in foreclosure and enforcement proceedings, estate distribution, and acquisitions and mergers, in addition to providing valuation services to banks and financial institutions for real estate financing purposes.

It is worth noting that the Authority implemented a training program for real estate valuation practitioners, attended by 783 trainees, including 559 trainees in 17 sessions of Course 101 “International Valuation Standards and Ethics and Conduct of the Valuation Profession” in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Al-Ahsa, Dammam, Abha, and Ha’il, with 502 trainees passing the exam, and 224 trainees in 8 sessions of Course 102, “Fundamentals of Real Estate Appraisal,” in collaboration with the Appraisal Institute in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Ahsa, with 201 trainees passing the exam.
