With various events and programs Saudi Arabia's regional secretariats celebrate the 93rd National Day

Municipalities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrated the 93rd National Day by organizing a variety of events and programs that drew large crowds of citizens and residents.

The skies over the Kingdom were lit up with fireworks on the 93rd Saudi National Day, as squares and key locations across the beloved nation witnessed millions of people enjoying the sight of the beautiful displays at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, in events organized by the General Entertainment Authority.

Riyadh Celebrations

In the Riyadh region, as part of the National Day events, drone shows were held in the skies over Riyadh, specifically near the Riyadh City Boulevard area, forming national murals that embraced the sky, featuring images of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and the Kingdom’s flag, and were broadcast live on Saudi TV.

Entertainment areas and celebration sites saw a large turnout of citizens and residents who enjoyed the fireworks displays and captured their ascent and illuminations in the Kingdom’s sky, commemorating the celebration, which featured a variety of performances and events.

Watch and enjoy these shows at more than 15 locations, including Riyadh City Boulevard in Riyadh, the Promenade in Jeddah, King Abdullah Park in Dammam, the Northern Al-Khobar Corniche, King Abdullah Environmental Park in Al-Ahsa, and King Abdullah National Park in Buraidah.

Tabuk Celebrations

Celebratory fireworks were also seen in Abha at Al-Sad Park on Al-Fan Street, in Madinah at King Fahd Central Park, in Hail at Al-Salam Park, in Tabuk at Al-Nizam Central Park, in Al-Baha at Prince Hussam Park, in Sakaka at Al-Jouf Municipality Park, in Jazan along the Corniche Walkway, in Najran at the University District Housing Park, in Taif near King Abdullah Park, and in Arar at the Water Tower.

The Central Park in Tabuk hosted numerous events organized by the regional municipality to celebrate the 93rd National Day, which was held under the slogan “We Dream and We Achieve,” as an extension of the events that began yesterday on Prince Fahd bin Sultan Avenue.

Celebrations in Jeddah

The Jeddah Municipality kicked off celebrations for the 93rd National Day, “We Dream and We Achieve,” across the province through a series of events targeting all age groups.

The events, which began on September 21, included 3D displays featuring the 93rd National Day theme at the Western and Eastern City Road gates and Al-Nourus Square.

On September 22, Al-Yamamah Promenade hosted a two-day parade of horsemen carrying the Saudi flag and wearing traditional Saudi attire, with interactive lighting installed along the horse parade route in the square, in addition to the Saudi flag being raised on the streets and main roads for three days.

Al-Jawf Celebrations

In the Al-Jawf region, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jawf, presided over a ceremony for the region’s residents marking the Kingdom’s 93rd National Day, organized by the regional secretariat at the Prince Abdul-Ilah Cultural Center in Sakaka.

The Madinah region witnessed numerous events organized by the regional municipality to celebrate the 93rd National Day under the slogan ”We Dream and We Achieve.”

The Municipality kicked off its activities last week by decorating the city’s roads and streets with national flags, green lights, and interactive lighting, It displayed nearly 3,000 flags on main roads and key intersections, in addition to illuminating the Secretariat’s main building and its affiliated municipalities with green lights, underscoring the significance of this major national occasion.

Eastern Province Celebrations

The Eastern Province Municipality celebrated the Kingdom’s 93rd National Day by organizing numerous activities, events, and performances across several areas and governorates in the region, with the most prominent taking place at King Abdullah Park (Dammam Waterfront), and will last for two days.

The Secretariat explained that on the first day, fireworks were launched at 9:00 p.m., followed by a national operetta featuring a variety of harmonious scenes, with rhythms and lyrics drawn from a collective performance of national songs from the Eastern Province’s cultural heritage, as well as songs about leadership and the homeland. As for the second day, a musical operetta, a choral performance, and a number of national songs will be presented, all in keeping with the National Day celebrations.

The celebration includes an interactive theater and audience contests, as well as 40 participants in the Saudi Ardah, performed by the region’s leading folk troupes from the Eastern Province, dressed in Ardah, Daqla, and sword costumes, along with a national choir, a Saudi DJ segment, as well as roaming performances, most notably the Saudi Al-Asa, which demonstrates police duties and represents the historical dimension of Al-Asa by presenting a realistic picture of the role it played before the establishment of the Kingdom’s current security system, and robot performances, featuring a mechanical device capable of performing pre-programmed tasks, either through human signals and control or via computer programs.
