A Real Estate ID is assigned to modern real estate title deeds. This ensures there is no duplication of title deeds and no overlap in ownership, as it is issued separately for each property. The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs is responsible for issuing the ID, which is then notarized by the Ministry of Justice. This initiative aims to streamline a number of procedures, expedite the approval of development plans, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the information, as well as transparency and the adoption of a real estate identity that defines land details in a manner that is officially recognized and reliable by all authorities through the application of strict standards and controls agreed upon between the Ministries of Justice and Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice is able to utilize the real estate identity verification service through a set of controls, including verifying the authenticity of real estate deeds, ensuring the property is free from overlaps and duplications, and confirming that the deed matches the nature of the property, ensuring that deeds are not issued for public utilities and that the property is not located in floodplains or valley bottoms.
