243 compliance certificates issued to owners of buildings located on commercial axes in Jazan

Municipality calls on landlords to address elements of visual distortion and issue compliance certificates via Baladi platform to enhance the quality of the urban landscape

The Jazan Regional Secretariat continues to issue certificates of compliance for buildings located along commercial corridors that meet the requirements, in line with its efforts to improve urban facades, address visual pollution, and enhance the quality of the urban environment, while also meeting residents" aspirations to advance the Jazan region and contributing to the achievement of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.

The Jazan Regional Municipality has issued 243 certificates of compliance during the corrective period, which will end on 6 Sha’ban 1445 AH, in accordance with the procedures manual that includes 19 criteria requiring for the certificate to be issued. The Secretariat emphasized that the certificate is a regulatory document granted to owners of existing and new buildings, and that its issuance requires specific standards. It was introduced in line with the plan aimed at providing a safe urban environment that meets safety requirements and enhances the quality of life, thereby contributing to the creation of model buildings that enhance the city’s aesthetics.

Reducing Negative Aspects

According to the Municipality of Jazan, the certificate also aims to raise awareness of the importance of reducing negative aspects, promoting positive ones, preserving the city’s aesthetic and cultural appearance, and achieving the highest level of compliance, emphasizing the importance of property owners” role in promptly obtaining the certificate and adhering to its requirements to improve compliance indicators and enhance the quality of life.

The Secretariat called on owners of commercial and residential buildings, as well as usufruct rights holders, to promptly address all elements of visual distortion in commercial and residential buildings and to obtain a building compliance certificate or undergo a building compliance assessment through “Baladi,” to provide a healthy and sustainable urban environment, enhance the urban landscape, and improve the quality of life.
