The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZTCA) has clarified the mechanism for refunding the amount of payment of the real estate transactions, in response to a query received by its account.

In response to a query, the ZTCA said on its social media account “X”.

The Authority said through its account on the social networking site "X", that if the payment is made and not emptied and the decision to sell is retracted, the seller can cancel the request through the Real Estate Dispositions portal, via the Real Estate Dispositions View icon, and the amount paid will be refunded to the same IBAN account from which the payment was made.

The Authority said through its account on the social networking site "X". It noted that refunds will be made within 15 working days from the date of cancellation of the order.
