Recovering rights when a tenant refuses to pay or evict
<In response to an inquiry from a beneficiary of the Ejar platform about the situation of a tenant whose contract has expired and refuses to pay rent or vacate the property, Ejar explained that the landlord can file a financial claim with the Execution Court if the contract is an executive deed. After that, the landlord can request the evacuation of the real estate unit based on the terminated electronic contract.
Registering electronic leases via Ejar
Ejar provides real estate brokers, landlords, and tenants with the ability to document standardized electronic leases through the following steps:
- Log in to the lease registration service.
- Enter the tenant's information and click on “Verify”.
- Select the property or rental unit.
- Enter contract and companion information and click "Next".
- Select the annual rent and utilities, then “Next”.
- Send the contract for notarization via Absher for the landlord and tenant.
Conditions for registering contracts include:
- Pre-added real estate deeds.
- Pre-added residential properties.
- Pre-register rental units.
- Cancel standardized residential leases
- Log in to the Ejar home screen.
- Select the contract to be canceled from the list of contracts.
- Confirm the contract and click on “End Lease”.
- Choose the reason for cancellation, select the expiration date, and click “Confirm”.
