The New Square - a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company - yesterday hosted the Partners Forum at the Digital City in Riyadh. The forum brought together more than 40 leaders from different companies and strategic partners to share their thoughts on the Kingdom's vision and Riyadh's new future.
The forum was opened by the President of the Public Investment Fund (PIF). The forum was opened by Head of Corporate Projects and Stakeholder Management, Issa Al Muneef, who highlighted the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and what it will bring to the city of Riyadh.
Riyadh City's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) introduced the forum. <Michael Dyke, CEO of New Square, delivered a keynote speech in which he outlined the plan for New Square: ”We are building an exceptional destination to become a model for urban and future planning for the Kingdom.“
He emphasized the importance of joint commitment and cooperation, sharing experiences and knowledge in working with partners. He pointed out that significant progress has been made in excavation operations, reaching 86%, which is more than 10 million cubic meters of earth moved, and touched on plans to build the 45,000-seat New Square Stadium, which will host the 2034 World Cup matches.

Riyadh's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abdulrahman Al Mubarak, highlighted the importance of the Cube in the city of Riyadh's future. For his part, AECOM CEO Troy Rudd highlighted ”Natural Hazards", and Honeywell President Abdullah Al Juffali gave an introduction to the Smart Cities vision.
The new cube will provide a new opportunity to realize the impact that the cube will have on the city of Riyadh. <The New Square offers a wide range of partnerships in different and vital sectors aimed at enhancing development potential. These partnerships include sponsors' rights and provide global brands and companies with ways to provide unique experiences. The New Square welcomes financial companies, funds and collaborations with financial institutions and investors; development partnerships that seek to join forces with leading real estate developers, architects and contractors; public-private partnerships, as the New Square recognizes the power of public-private collaboration; and partnerships with technology companies <The second phase is expected to see the eastern and western sides of the destination, which will consist of vibrant communities and the sports stadium. The third phase will see the completion of the master plan and all the planned communities. The success of the New Square is dependent on strong partnerships, requiring many collective talents and expertise to drive progress. The New Square is committed to transparency, open communication and collaborative decision-making to ensure long-term partner engagement, as well as emphasizing the importance of building strong relationships with partners based on trust and mutual respect.
