Real Estate Registry begins registering 90,804 real estate plots in Riyadh and Medina

Owners are required to register their properties via rer.sa before February 27, 2025 to benefit from services and avoid penalties.

Real Estate Registry started today receiving applications for the first in-kind registration of 90,804 real estate plots in 37 neighborhoods in Riyadh city and (3038) real estate plots in parts of Qubaiba and Abu Sidr neighborhoods in Medina. <Registration in Riyadh includes the following neighborhoods: (part of Al-Khair, Al-Suwaidi, Sultana, Al-Durayhimiya, Al-Ma'adhar, Al-Sharafiya, Umm Al-Hammam East, Umm Al-Hammam West, Al-Badiaa, Al-Araija, Al-Amal, Thaleem, Al-Futah, Skirina, Manfouha, Maakal, Umm Salim, Al-Aud, Al-Yamama, Waseetah, Salam, Wesham, Jubra, Al-Batiha, Atiqah, Al-Salhiyah, Al-Dweiba, Al-Qura, Shamisi, Ghubaira, Sayah, Al-Jaradiyah, Marraqeb, Dahu, New Manfouha, Deira, Al-Rafiaa).

He stressed on the owners of properties located within the scope of the neighborhoods benefiting from Real Estate Registry to register their properties before the end of February 27, 2025 corresponding to 28 Shaaban 1446 AH, noting that the location of the property can be verified if it is within the declared areas through the Real Estate Registry platform.

Real Estate Registry called on real estate owners to register their properties through the real estate registry platform rer.sa and contact the customer service center 199002, to inquire about the procedures and steps of registration, stressing that real estate owners should register their properties within the specified period to benefit from the services of the real estate registry and implement real estate transactions easily and conveniently, and avoid the penalties and fines specified by the real estate registration system.
As part of its efforts to increase reliability and transparency in the sector by building a comprehensive real estate registry for real estate information in the Kingdom, which will be a unified reference for all real estate data.

The Real Estate Registry will issue a comprehensive real estate registry in the Kingdom. The real estate registry will issue a “property number” and a title deed for each real estate unit that is registered. The new title deed includes the exact geographical location of the property, its owner's data, descriptions, condition, rights and obligations, and all real estate transactions that occur on it, to be the basis for documenting ownership and the real estate rights resulting from it, thus contributing to the sustainability and enhancement of the real estate sector and its key enablers.

Real estate zones will be identified and will be used as a basis for documenting the property and its rights. The real estate zones are determined according to several criteria and based on the role of the General Authority for Real Estate as the competent authority for in-kind registration of real estate in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers and the provisions of the Real Estate Registration Law, while the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (Real Estate Registry) carries out the work of establishing and managing the real estate registry in the Kingdom using geospatial data and modern technologies through an integrated digital platform that contributes to enhancing transparency and confidence in real estate services and data.
