Saleh bin Nasser Al Jasser <His Excellency stressed that this historic achievement reflects the Kingdom's high status and the readiness of various infrastructures and the transportation and logistics system to host the largest international forums, pointing out the pivotal role played by the transportation and logistics sector in contributing, in cooperation with all parties, to present a distinctive version of the 2034 World Cup, through the Kingdom's strong and wide transportation network that includes 29 airports, including 16 international airports, with a capacity of 300 million passengers by 2030, and the Kingdom has an advanced road network that is considered the first in the world in connectivity according to international indicators, supported by modern bus transportation networks H.E. Al Jasser pointed out that the Kingdom's hosting of this global event contributes to introducing the Kingdom's prominent role and ancient civilization, as well as the comprehensive renaissance that our country is witnessing under its wise leadership, and provides a unique opportunity for sports fans from around the world to visit the Kingdom and explore its historical and archaeological landmarks and tourist destinations.

Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) announced today, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host the FIFA World Cup™ 2034 during the Extraordinary General Assembly meeting held virtually today.
The Kingdom will host the largest edition of the World Cup
The Kingdom will be the first host country in history to single-handedly host the largest edition of the World Cup, which will see 48 national teams participate in five cities to host the tournament's matches, following the approval of the new tournament system by FIFA earlier.
<The Kingdom officially submitted its candidacy file to host this edition of the World Cup last July, under the slogan “Together We Grow”, in which it revealed its ambitious plans to host this most important tournament in the world of football, by hosting the World Cup matches in 15 stadiums, distributed among five host cities; namely: Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Abha and Neom, in addition to ten other hosting sites across the Kingdom. By hosting the FIFA World Cup™ 2034, the Kingdom aims to provide exceptional experiences for players and fans from around the world, while providing outstanding facilities and accommodation options that meet the different requirements of visitors, with attention to the sustainability of the projects built and the preservation of the environment, as well as an advanced transportation network that enables fans to reach the stadiums quickly and easily, in addition to facilitating travel procedures to ensure a comfortable and distinctive experience for visitors.
