Video... Algeria's 8th Arab Housing Conference discusses urbanization and sustainable building challenges

A conference to exchange Arab visions on urban planning, green buildings, and smart cities kicked off in Algiers on December 17-19.

The Eighth Arab Housing Conference, organized by the Algerian Ministry of Housing, Urbanization and the City in cooperation with the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction of the Arab League, kicked off in Algiers yesterday from December 17 to 19, on the sidelines of the 41st session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction.

The three-day conference, titled "Sustainable Urbanism and Construction. <The 3-day conference, titled "Urbanization and Sustainable Construction. The 3-day conference, entitled “Challenges and Promising Hopes”, will discuss urban planning mechanisms to achieve resilient and safe cities capable of resilience and sustainability, in addition to the importance of green buildings, the use of environmentally friendly building materials, and the best experiences that will achieve sustainable development and quality of life, and define decent housing standards to meet the needs of different segments of society.

The conference aims to present joint Arab visions to address current and future urban challenges in the Arab world, develop innovative solutions and effective mechanisms, and highlight leading experiences and projects in the field of smart cities and sustainable cities.
