Riyadh governor launches development contracts for 15 projects in 4 governorates in the southern region

Contracts to rehabilitate infrastructure and raise the quality of life in Al Kharj, Al Dalam, Hawtat Bani Tamim, Al Hariq, and support investment.

His Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Secretary of Riyadh Region Riyadh, launched contracts for 15 development projects concerned with raising the quality of life for residents of the southern part of the region in Al Kharj, Al Dalam, Houta Bani Tamim, Al Haram, during his visit, which aims to improve the infrastructure of Riyadh governorates.

At the beginning of the tour, His Highness met with the heads of municipalities, where he stressed the importance of raising the efficiency of the services provided, enhancing continuous communication with residents to achieve their aspirations, and highlighting the competitive advantage of their governorates, stressing the importance of promoting sustainable development.

His Highness emphasized the importance of promoting sustainable development. The Secretary of Riyadh emphasized that these projects come within a package of targeted development projects for the region, and said: "The importance of these projects lies in the fact that they will be a developmental tributary that will benefit the region, land and people, and will enhance the role of balanced development between all governorates of the region, which will achieve the aspirations of our wise leadership in achieving the standard of citizens and residents, in addition to upgrading the quality of services provided to them."

He stressed the importance of raising the efficiency of the services provided, and enhancing continuous communication with the people to achieve their aspirations. He pointed to the importance of municipalities as the main engine of local development, stressing that all municipalities in the region must be supported to fulfill their developmental role to the fullest.

The contracts included service projects to raise the quality of life and improve infrastructure, where Al-Kharj governorate received 7 projects aimed at rehabilitating and maintaining a number of roads, streets, in addition to asphalting residential plans with a total length of 34,857 linear meters, and adjusting the quality of several roads with a total length of 21,900 meters, in addition to flood risk prevention projects and adjusting street levels by resurfacing old neighborhoods to address rainwater pools with a total area of 300,000 square meters.

Rehabilitation of parking lots, streets, and parking lots. In Al-Dalam Governorate, His Highness launched 4 asphalt projects, rehabilitation and maintenance of some streets and roads in the governorate, lighting maintenance project, in addition to the construction of roads and streets with a total length of 5020 linear meters.

His Highness also launched a project to rehabilitate electric car parking lots in a number of public facilities and parks in a number of neighborhoods in the governorate. In Houta Bani Tamim governorate, two development projects were launched to develop a number of sites, including asphalting the plans of several neighborhoods with a total length of 14,800 linear meters, maintaining roads with a length of 6,000 meters, inaugurating the Tuwaiq popular market in the wild park, and inspecting existing projects to discuss challenges and ways to solve them.

Two projects were launched in Al-Haram governorate, including asphalting projects with total street lengths of 1,874 linear meters, and developing and rehabilitating some streets with a total area of 92,800 square meters.

The visit also witnessed the launching of the Tuwaiq Popular Market in the Wild Park, and stood on existing projects to discuss challenges and ways to solve them. <The visit also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Al Kharj Governorate and Riyadh Holding Company to promote investment, develop a number of investment sites, logistics and industrial areas in the governorate, and support public facilities, thus contributing to achieving sustainable development. At the end of his tour, His Highness honored a number of personalities who had a positive and prominent role in supporting the provincial municipalities, in order to encourage the community to contribute to achieving the desired goals.
