The Jeddah Provincial Secretariat yesterday, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, began implementing procedures to notify the owners of buildings at risk of collapse in the Al-Faisaliah and Al-Rabwah neighborhoods, as part of its ongoing efforts to protect lives and property and enhance public safety in the urban environment.
The Secretariat clarified that it has begun surveying buildings at risk of collapse in the two neighborhoods, identifying 263 buildings in Al-Faisaliah and 88 buildings in Al-Rabwah, and notices were issued urging the owners to contact the Secretariat immediately to complete the necessary regulatory procedures.
It noted that these efforts are part of an ongoing plan to monitor the condition of buildings at risk of collapse in various neighborhoods across the city, with the aim of reducing potential risks to residents and surrounding areas, while taking all necessary preventive measures to ensure public safety.
The Municipality called on the owners of the affected buildings to visit its headquarters promptly to complete the required procedures, which are part of a campaign carried out by the General Directorate of Emergencies and Crises to address the conditions of buildings at risk of collapse, emphasizing the importance of everyone’s cooperation to expedite the process, in order to preserve public safety and avoid any damage that may result from delays in addressing the issue.
