The Shura Council's official spokesman Dr. Mohammed Al-Muhanna said that the Hajj, Housing and Services Committee will study the draft regulatory arrangements for imposing fees on white lands after the Council of Ministers last week pushed it to the Shura Council for a comprehensive and in-depth study.
Sources report that the Shura Council's Housing and Services Committee has begun studying the project and will submit its report to the General Assembly of the Shura Council, which in turn refers it to the Council's agenda for discussion and voting on it within thirty days of its referral to the Council from the Highness as required by the Royal Directive.
It is worth noting that a committee was formed under the chairmanship of the Minister of Housing, and the Ministry of Housing, through the formed committee, will follow a flexible and (gradual) methodology in applying fees on white lands, by reviewing the related policy and its regulations periodically in order to maintain the efficiency of the program and the sustainability of its benefits to citizens, and the regulation also includes the evaluation of measuring the actual effects on the interaction of landowners in development, down to the indirect effects on the national economy, and in light of the follow-up results, the white land fees program will be developed to ensure that the strategic goal of facilitating Saudi families' acquisition of land is still achieved. 14.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #333333;">.
