Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majid Al-Hogail revealed that new decisions on white land fees will be issued soon, noting that they come as part of the ministry's efforts to control the real estate market and balance between supply and demand.

Al-Haqeel emphasized that the municipal and housing sector now accounts for about 14% of GDP, as the ministry oversees more than 550 economic activities, which reflects the size of its impact on the national economy.
Haqeel stressed that the size of the municipal and housing sector has become about 14% of GDP. <He pointed out that the size of the real estate sector jumped from 170 billion riyals previously to more than 850 billion riyals in 2024, a growth that reflects the strong movement in real estate development projects in various regions of the Kingdom. Al-Haqeel explained that the ministry oversees more than 500,000 job opportunities distributed among 318,000 establishments operating in the activities supervised by the ministry, which indicates the pivotal role of the sector in creating jobs and supporting the local economy.
In terms of city development, the minister revealed that six Saudi cities have joined the list of global smart cities, stressing that the Kingdom is close to achieving financial sustainability and maximizing the competitive advantages of cities, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
