The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), represented by the Universal Service Fund, has completed the delivery of telecommunications and Internet services to more than 11,000 communities with more than three million inhabitants in various regions of the Kingdom, based on the direction and keenness of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, which aims to deliver all telecommunications and Internet services to all villages and hamlets, especially the remote ones, throughout the Kingdom.

CITC is implementing state-funded universal service projects to provide all villages and hamlets with a population of less than 5,000 people with voice and Internet services.CITC explained that it has launched 14 service deployment projects. CITC explained that it has launched all of its 14 projects to deploy voice and Internet services covering thousands of remote villages and hamlets through the Universal Service Fund, which will be completed as expected by the end of 2017, God willing.
