CITC brings more than 11,000 communities into the service area

The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), represented by the Universal Service Fund, has completed the delivery of telecommunications and Internet services to more than 11,000 communities with more than three million inhabitants in various regions of the Kingdom, based on the direction and keenness of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, which aims to deliver all telecommunications and Internet services to all villages and hamlets, especially the remote ones, throughout the Kingdom.

Accurate statistics for service centers

<1546 centers and migrations in the Riyadh region with a population of 506 thousand, 2205 migrations and centers in the Makkah region with a population of 555 thousand, 1286 migrations and centers in the Madinah region with a population of 218 thousand, 535 migrations and centers in the Qassim region with a population of 297 thousand, 133 migrations and centers in the Eastern region with a population of 45 thousand, 2120 in the Asir region with a population of 433 thousand, as well as 328 in the Eastern region with a population of 45 thousand. 328 migration and centers in the Tabuk region with a population of 67,000, 676 migration and centers in the Hail region with a population of 238,000, 119 migration and centers in the Northern Borders region with a population of 32,000, 984 migration and centers in the Jazan region with a population of 352,000, 439 migration and centers in the Najran region with a population of 120,000, 934 migration and centers in the Al-Baha region with a population of 210,000, and 136 migration and centers in the Al-Jouf region with a population of 63,000.

14 service deployment projects

CITC is implementing state-funded universal service projects to provide all villages and hamlets with a population of less than 5,000 people with voice and Internet services.

CITC explained that it has launched 14 service deployment projects. CITC explained that it has launched all of its 14 projects to deploy voice and Internet services covering thousands of remote villages and hamlets through the Universal Service Fund, which will be completed as expected by the end of 2017, God willing.

CITC emphasized that these services were delivered to these centers, hamlets and villages thanks to God's grace first and then with the support and directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his wise government, which always emphasizes that all services reach all regions of the Kingdom, including ICT services, and CITC is working continuously to reach all ICT services to all regions of the Kingdom.
