In order to uphold the standards of transparency and fairness, the amended Housing Subsidy Regulations, which were approved on Friday, set a precise system for the process of obtaining support. Article 30 of the Regulations established the balance of priority in housing subsidy programs, making seniority an important criterion in differentiating between applicants.

Article Thirty of the Housing Support Regulations
Article 30 of the Housing Support Regulations stipulates that applicants are awarded one point for each year that has passed since the submission of the application, with a maximum of ten points, thus seniority has become the official reference in the approval of obtaining housing support, and if a person applies for a housing land grant and no plot is allocated to him from a government entity, two additional points will be added to his balance, without exceeding the ten-point ceiling established for this criterion. The application of the seniority criterion was not limited to obtaining a residential land, but extended its application to loan applications from the Real Estate Development Fund, as the regulation considered that previous loan applications in the Real Estate Development Fund are included in the calculation of seniority, and the applicant retains the date of his first application when moving to the new housing support, and it can be said that the amendments to the regulation came to appreciate applicants who waited for many years without losing their eligibility.
