The importance of knowledge transfer
.Dr. Moens Shujaa
We live today in the age of science, knowledge and open data Within the accelerated technical progress and with the entry of artificial intelligence, the importance of knowledge and its practices in the business environment has increased, especially in the possibility of generating ideas and solutions, and due to this importance of information in the administrative environment, especially in technical or technical aspects and other important internal sectors, it is clear to us the necessity of circulating knowledge within the facility or company and not monopolizing it to a specific person only! Often we find that the technical process is known only by the employee, such as the network employee or the telecommunications technician, or that the technical issue can only be solved by the mechanic or the technical programmer and so on; this is evident when the employee is absent or takes annual leave, then the solution to that issue stops until he returns from the leave!
<From this point of view, the importance of transferring knowledge among employees in a documented and written form that can be referred to at any time without linking the work to the presence or absence of a specific person, so that critical functions are identified where any issue leads to a complete or major work stoppage and thus everyone in the facility is harmed and the workflow is affected. This is done through training on possible scenarios of issues and how to solve them, whether as temporary solutions or final solutions, during which knowledge and experience are transferred between employees, in addition to having contingency plans in case of inability to solve them and using alternative methods for business continuity, with this effective management approach, God willing, any issues that may interfere with production lines or operational processes within the facility can be avoided and thus avoid financial losses and their consequences and impacts.
