The Saudi Contractors Authority will hold its first meeting during the current week, after the formation of its board of directors was completed.

Regarding the process of categorizing contracting companies operating in the market, the royal decree stipulated that no company will be eligible to enter a government tender without obtaining a certificate from the Contracting Authority, and therefore the Authority will coordinate with all relevant authorities in the next phase, especially since it will be the main umbrella and sponsor for companies in the sector.

It is noteworthy that Minister of Commerce and Industry Tawfiq Al-Rabeeah had issued <span class="Apple-converted- last week issued a decision to appoint the members of the first board of directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority, which aims to develop the contracting sector in the Kingdom and raise the level of the profession, based on Cabinet Decision No. 510 dated 23/11/1436 H approving the organization of the Saudi Contractors Authority, and granting the Minister of Commerce and Industry the authority to form the first board of directors of the Authority, whose members should be interested in the contracting profession.
