Preparations for the launch of the seventh tourism forum in Riyadh are finalized

The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) will organize from 29 Jumada I to 4 Jumada II 1435H corresponding to March 30 to April 4, 2014, the seventh Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Forum 2014, under the patronage of the Emir of Riyadh Region and Chairman of the Tourism Development Council, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, where the Commission has completed its necessary preparations to launch the seventh edition of the forum, with the participation of 80 national and foreign experts in addition to 35 workshop events that the forum will witness.

The seventh edition of the Travel Forum includes 4 dialogue sessions and more than 35 workshops, training courses and lectures focused on benefiting employees of various tourism sectors, partners and branches of the Authority from its topics, presented by 80 local and international experts and specialists, addressing the most important topics related to the tourism industry.

The sessions address various issues such as the role of new transportation projects in stimulating and developing the tourism sector, the reality and future of investment in the tourism sector, recreation and tourism, and youth and tourism. This year's forum targets 20,000 people compared to 9,000 in the last session, with the participation of 300 entities specialized in tourism, entertainment and aviation, and 14 tourist destinations, and includes presentations of the most important major projects in the various regions of the Kingdom in the accompanying exhibition, as well as great interest from companies and entities related to the tourism and investment sector in the Kingdom.

The Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Forum aims to enhance communication between those interested in the national tourism industry and is an important opportunity to establish partnerships and business agreements between local companies and visiting foreign companies to support and develop the infrastructure of the tourism sector in the Kingdom.
Significant participation in the exhibition

The exhibition witnesses a large and varied participation, as the tourism development councils in the regions participate in the exhibition, in addition to more than 200 different companies and destinations, whose activity varies between tourism activity, whether in the accommodation sector, tour organization or travel and tourism agencies, and the various entities and partners from regional secretariats, provincial municipalities, various government agencies, chambers of commerce and regional universities.

The exhibition accompanying the forum, in addition to the pavilions of many local and international companies and entities working in the tourism sector, includes a large pavilion of the Supreme Authority for the Development of Riyadh City in which it presents its projects, the most important of which is the transportation project.
The specialized events in the fields of tourism, which are of interest to those working in the industry, whether personal skills or investment development, will review the features of the tourism system and its executive regulations, the presentation of the King Abdullah Cultural Heritage Project, some successful tourism experiences, presentations of tourist destinations, the organization of adventure and exploration trips, safety in hotel and furnished apartment facilities, qualification of operators in furnished residential units, the role of professional tourism associations, electronic marketing, festival development, investment in organizing events, marketing craft products, developing tourist destinations, and preparing the meta The exhibition accompanying the forum this year is the largest exhibition of the forum since its launch six years ago, as the total area of the exhibition is approximately 15,000 square meters in all halls of the exhibition center, an increase of 4,000 square meters from the previous session.
