The Royal Commission for Riyadh announced that 145 local and international companies have applied to participate in the implementation of the Qiddiya High Speed Rail project, in cooperation with the National Center for Privatization and Qiddiya Investment Company, in a move that reflects the size of the investment interest in the project and its expected role in developing the capital's transportation system.

The authority explained on its website that the applicant companies belong to six main categories, including 68 developers and main contractors, 10 equipment and systems suppliers, 12 railway service operators, 16 investment companies, 23 companies specialized in design and project management, and 16 other companies with multiple expertise.

The project aims to enhance the diversity of transportation modes in Riyadh, as the bullet train will connect King Salman International Airport, King Abdullah Financial Center (KAFD) and Qiddiya City in just 30 minutes, at a speed of up to 250 kilometers per hour, through an integrated partnership model between the public and private sectors.
