1.3 billion riyals to build electrical infrastructure for Souda Summits tourism project

Souda Development Company, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, has signed a SAR 1.3 billion agreement with the National Electricity Transmission Company (NETC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), to develop and implement the integrated electrical infrastructure of the Souda Peaks project. According to the company's statement, this partnership is a pivotal step in the development of Souda Peaks, a luxury tourism destination at 3,015 meters above sea level, and reflects Souda Development's commitment to achieving the highest standards of excellence and delivering unparalleled experiences in tourism, hospitality, shopping, luxury residential options and more.

The National Electricity Transmission Company will design and construct an integrated electrical network that includes a 132/380 kV (500 MVA) central substation and two 13.8/132 kV substations.

This infrastructure will be designed and constructed by the National Electricity Transmission Company. <This advanced infrastructure will form the main pillar of electrical services for all areas of the project and its tourist, residential, commercial and public facilities. <“This agreement is an important step in the development of Al Soudah Peaks, an ultra-luxury destination that embodies global standards of excellence and sustainability,” said Saleh Al Arini, CEO of Al Soudah Development Company. “Through our partnership with the National Electricity Transmission Company, we are establishing a high-level infrastructure that will serve the project in all its phases,” he said. For his part, the CEO of the National Electricity Transmission Company, Engineer Waleed Al Saadi, described the agreement as a milestone in the development of the electrical infrastructure for the Sudan Peaks project, and reflects the commitment of the National Electricity Transmission Company to support major development projects in the Kingdom through integrated solutions that adopt the highest standards of efficiency and reliability.
