His Excellency Mr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Turki, Governor of Jeddah, yesterday launched work on eight residential projects as part of the first phase of the “Jeddah Front“ project, comprising a total of 2,000 residential units and considered one of the largest urban development projects in northern Jeddah. The event was attended by a number of government and executive leaders, as well as representatives from various development sectors.
His Excellency was briefed on the completion of the infrastructure for the first phase, which included road construction, utility networks, green spaces, walking and biking trails, and open-air sports fields. The completion of these works reflects the project’s readiness to move on to more comprehensive urban development phases in the coming period.
The Jeddah Front project spans an area of over one million square meters in a strategic location in North Obhur at the intersection of Al-Madina Road and Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz Road, providing direct access to Jeddah’s most prominent landmarks and vital projects.
The project embodies the concept of a “city within a city” by developing an integrated urban environment that includes residential areas, business facilities, entertainment centers, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and daily services—all within a single framework that enhances quality of life.
Upon completion, the project is set to accommodate more than 5,000 residential units catering to over 23,000 residents, in addition to educational and healthcare facilities, 120,000 square meters of commercial space, 140,000 square meters of office space, and approximately 600 hotel rooms, along with green spaces that are among the largest in urban projects in Jeddah.
The project features an urban design that facilitates safe movement within the neighborhoods, allowing residents to access various daily services on foot without having to cross major streets, thereby promoting a healthy lifestyle and reducing dependence on vehicles.
The launch of construction comes after the sale of all plots designated for residential projects in the first phase to a number of real estate developers, reflecting investors’ confidence in the project as a modern urban model grounded in sustainability standards and offering diverse, contemporary housing options.
