The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources represented by the Industrial Services and Compliance Agency, (1,364) field visits to industrial facilities in the Kingdom during the month of October, focusing on monitoring factories" compliance with the necessary conditions and requirements for conducting industrial activities, and taking regulatory measures against non-compliant facilities, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to improve the investment environment and strengthen its governance, and to ensure fair competition in the industrial sector.
The Ministry’s official spokesperson, Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah, explained that the field visits conducted during October 2025 included (455) visits to factories in the Eastern Province, (407) visits in the Riyadh region, (288) visits in the Makkah region, in addition to (96) in the Madinah region, (29) in the Asir region, 28 in the Tabuk region, 24 in the Qassim region, 17 in the Jazan region, 6 in the Northern Border region, 5 in the Al-Jawf and Najran regions, 3 in the Ha’il region, and one visit in the Al-Baha region.
Al-Jarrah emphasized that the Ministry will continue its field visits to ensure that industrial facilities comply with the necessary conditions and requirements for conducting industrial activities, and to monitor national factories" commitment to providing high-quality products that comply with approved standards and specifications, in addition to rectifying the conditions of factories located outside industrial cities.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources requires any facility engaged in industrial activity to obtain an industrial license, an environmental permit, site permits, and the necessary safety and operating permits, thereby ensuring compliance with safety requirements, It also requires that, for the practice of food and pharmaceutical activities, a license from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority be obtained prior to the start of production, in addition to obtaining quality conformity certificates for products subject to the technical regulations issued by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization.
