The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced the establishment of the non-profit Building Materials Manufacturers Association, which aims to support efforts to develop the building materials sector in the Kingdom and improve the quality of its products, on the sidelines of the International Non-Profit Sector Forum in Riyadh, as part of the Ministry's efforts to empower non-profit organizations in the industrial and mining sectors, believing in their role in supporting the economic and social development of the Kingdom.

Building materials The association aims to contribute to the development of technical specifications for industrial production processes for building materials in line with international best practices, support local factories in the journey to obtain international quality and accreditation certificates, including (ISO, CE, SASO), enhance communication between building materials manufacturers and decision makers to address challenges that may face factories, stimulate innovation and transfer the latest technologies from leading industrialized countries and encourage research and development by building partnerships with universities and research centers.
The association also aims to explore new markets for the export of building materials products, support the development of local content, support small and medium factories to support their expansion and growth and raise their competitiveness, develop human cadres in the field of factory management, quality and production through advanced training programs, raise awareness of energy efficiency, resource management and reduce emissions in factories, in support of building a sustainable industrial environment.
The establishment of the non-profit Building Materials Manufacturers Association comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources to empower the non-profit sector, enhance its role in the fields of industry and mining, and increase its contributions and direct impact on the gross domestic product of the national economy in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
