The Saudi Council of Engineers has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) to expand the access of national engineering offices and companies to the opportunities available in development projects outside the Kingdom, in order to enhance their presence and increase their readiness to participate in quality projects.<The MoU coordinates efforts between the two sides to provide information related to the offered projects and support the participation of licensed engineering offices and companies in those projects, which enhances their ability to compete and opens wider horizons for their participation in development projects, in accordance with the legal and procedural frameworks applicable to both parties.
The MoU includes supporting local consulting companies and engineering offices, enabling them to be present in projects funded by the Saudi Fund for Development outside the Kingdom, contributing to expanding their business scope, building accumulated experience, and enhancing their presence in regional and international markets.<The MoU includes the exchange of relevant information and data, which contributes to raising the level of coordination and improving the efficiency of planning and decision-making.
The Secretary General of the Saudi Council of Engineers, Musaed bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, explained that the signing of the MoU comes within the framework of the Authority's keenness to expand the circle of opportunities for national engineering offices and companies, support their growth, and raise their readiness to participate in development projects in developing countries, which contributes to building a more competitive and sustainable engineering sector and enhances the role of the national engineering sector as an effective partner in the development process, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
