The Saudi Council of Engineers a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Fund for Development, with the aim of expanding the scope of opportunities available to national engineering firms and companies in development projects outside the Kingdom, thereby contributing to strengthening their presence and enhancing their readiness to participate in high-quality projects.
The memorandum of understanding aims to coordinate efforts between the two parties to provide information on proposed projects, and to support the participation of licensed engineering firms and companies in those projects, thereby enhancing their competitiveness and opening broader horizons for their involvement in development projects, in accordance with the regulatory and procedural frameworks in force at both parties.
The MoU includes support for local consulting firms and engineering offices, enabling them to participate in projects funded by the Saudi Fund for Development outside the Kingdom, thereby contributing to the expansion of their business scope, build cumulative expertise, and strengthen their presence in regional and international markets.
The MoU also includes the exchange of relevant information and data, which will help enhance coordination and improve the efficiency of planning and decision-making.
Musaed bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Secretary General of the Saudi Council of Engineers, explained that the signing of the memorandum of understanding comes as part of the Council’s commitment to expanding opportunities for national engineering firms and companies, supporting their growth, and enhance their readiness to participate in development projects in developing countries, thereby contributing to the creation of a more competitive and sustainable engineering sector, and strengthening the role of the national engineering sector as an active partner in the development process, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The Saudi Council of Engineers continues its efforts to develop the engineering work system and strengthen partnerships and integration with relevant entities, thereby supporting national engineering firms and companies, enhancing their readiness, and achieving sustainable growth for the engineering sector.
