The Institute of Public Administration is organizing an important seminar on Wednesday, March 30, titled "Housing in the Kingdom… Challenges and Solutions). A number of officials and relevant entities will participate, led by Minister of Housing Majid Al-Hogail, at the Ibn Khaldun Hall in the King Salman Conference Center at the Institute’s headquarters in Riyadh.. The event aims to discuss the current state of housing in the Kingdom, identify the most significant challenges it faces, and work toward finding solutions and mechanisms that contribute to its development by sharing best practices, ideas, and expertise in this field.

The symposium will feature presentations of working papers from the Ministries of Housing, Finance, Municipal and Rural Affairs, Economy and Planning, and Social Affairs, as well as the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority, the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, the Real Estate Development Fund, the Council of Saudi Chambers, the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Alinma Bank, the Saudi Dutch Bank, and the Riyadh Housing Cooperative Society.

On this occasion, Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Shuaibi, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, said that the Institute had prepared a field study addressing ”An Evaluation of the Effectiveness and Efficiency of Housing Programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia" to enrich the discussion and maximize its benefits.

Al-Shuaibi also emphasized that the Institute of Public Administration’s organization of this symposium comes in response to directives aimed at improving the services provided to citizens, including housing, to which the rulers—may God preserve them —great attention, and to which the state, may God support it, provides every form of support, as it is an economic sector that plays a pivotal role in achieving sustainable development through the capital accumulation it generates and the opportunities for employment and production it creates, Its impact also extends to social and cultural dimensions, as it is a basic necessity of life for individuals and a factor in family stability, and it contributes to improving their lives and advancing their culture and education.
