During its meeting held today in Jeddah and chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Council of Ministers reviewed plans for the development of infrastructure in various regions of the Kingdom and preparing it to accommodate continued growth and rapid urban expansion.

In this context, the Council noted the launch of the new phase of the Developed Neighborhoods Program in Makkah, as well as the start of implementation of projects in the fourth phase of the program to develop ring roads and major thoroughfares in Riyadh. The Council of Ministers affirmed that these projects will, God willing, contribute to keeping pace with urban expansion, enhancing the urban landscape, improving quality of life, and strengthening transportation services and infrastructure in Saudi cities.

The Council commended the launch of the first edition of Saudi Water Week, which serves as a national, regional, and international platform that promotes global dialogue, Arab priorities, and the Kingdom’s pivotal role in this sector, as well as its ongoing efforts to develop practical solutions and high-quality partnerships that translate the goals of achieving water security, ensuring the efficient use of natural resources, and accelerating joint action toward a more sustainable water future.
