the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has announced the launch of more than 13,000 investment opportunities through the “Furs” investment portal for Saudi cities during the first half of 2026, while the total value of contracts signed through the portal exceeded 4.6 billion riyals, as part of its efforts to promote municipal investment and enhance the efficient utilization of municipal assets across the Kingdom.
The Ministry explained that the opportunities offered in the municipal sector included the development and operation of municipal assets, service facilities, and others, allowing the private sector to view available opportunities and apply for them through standardized and transparent procedures, which contribute to enhancing competitiveness, increasing investment efficiency, and developing partnerships with investors.
The Ministry noted that the “Investment Opportunities in Saudi Cities” portal "Fursat" enables investors to access investment opportunities available in various cities and provinces across the Kingdom and apply for them electronically through standardized and transparent procedures, thereby facilitating the investor’s journey and enhancing the efficiency of investment in government assets and facilities.
Opportunities Across All Economic Sectors
It noted that investment opportunities available through the portal cover a wide range of economic activities, including the agricultural, industrial, commercial, educational, health, and environmental sectors, as well as public facilities, sports, recreation, and tourism, construction projects, real estate management, transportation, and various services, thereby enhancing the appeal of Saudi cities and supporting sustainable economic and urban development.
It noted that the "Fursat" portal is one of the digital tools for regulating investment in Saudi cities by standardizing tender and contracting procedures, increasing transparency and competitiveness, and facilitating investors" access to opportunities available in various regions, thereby contributing to improving the investment cycle and enhancing the efficiency of services provided to beneficiaries.
It emphasized that the achievements made during the first half of 2026 are an extension of efforts to develop the municipal investment system, enhancing the attractiveness of Saudi cities for investment, and strengthening the private sector’s contribution to urban development, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to develop the national economy, improve quality of life, and build more sustainable and efficient cities.
