Under the patronage of SASO Governor Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) is organizing the “First Forum for Standards in Industry” on Thursday, 12 Muharram 1438 H corresponding to October 13, 2016 at SASO's headquarters in Riyadh.

The organization of this forum comes in conjunction with the World Standards Day 2016, which is held this year under the slogan "Standards Build Trust", at a time when the Standards Authority is looking to enhance the strategic partnership between it and various sectors, especially the industrial sector, in support of its role in applying Saudi standards, which has a positive impact on supporting the national economy and enhancing competitiveness.

The forum will discuss in its themes the importance of standards and their role in the industrial sector, by reviewing some pioneering experiences of several entities and companies regarding the application of Saudi standards, where the forum programs were made in a way that allows more time for open discussion in order to shed light on suggestions and aspirations from factories and participating entities to develop standards and the work of the Authority to achieve the required integration and added value of joint work between the Authority and those entities.

The Authority looks forward to the participation and attendance of specialists and those interested in industrial affairs, and welcomes all visions and suggestions that would advance the process of industrial development to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the initiatives of the National Transformation Program 2020 in the industrial sector.
