Coinciding with a specialized exhibition, the Saudi Water and Environment Forum kicks off this evening in Riyadh

Under the patronage of the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli, the Saudi Water and Environment Forum and its accompanying exhibition will kick off this Sunday evening. Organized by the Ministry, the event will run for three days, at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Hall in the Al Faisaliah Hotel.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Saud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture for Water Affairs and General Supervisor of the forum, affirmed that this forum will play a major role—God willing—in bringing about a significant shift in the progress of the water and environment sectors.

Dr. Al-Saud noted that the ceremony will feature the signing of several agreements under the patronage of the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli, and the presentation of three awards for excellence in the fields of water, environment, technology, and innovation. These awards will be granted to support outstanding entities and encourage them to compete.

Dr. Al-Saud noted that the forum has dedicated the second day to discussing policies for understanding the future vision of the water and environment sectors in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 framework, reviewing lessons learned from international experiences, as well as discussing change management in the water sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reviewing investment opportunities in the environment and water sectors through projects and partnerships for a sustainable future. The forum will conclude the second day’s activities with a discussion on increasing efficiency and improving operational performance in the environment and water sectors in the Kingdom. The Deputy Minister of Water noted that on the third and final day of the forum, developments and opportunities in the sustainable industrial use of water in the Kingdom, reviewing opportunities in wastewater through reuse, recharge, and reducing environmental impact, and discussing investment opportunities in the environmental sector through waste management.
