With 300 projects participating, Cityscape Global, represented by an independent jury, has selected 45 real estate projects from 13 different countries to compete for the Emerging Markets Awards, which will compete against one another in 11 award categories at a gala dinner to be held on Monday, September 11, 2017, at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai.

The jury includes representatives from the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Egypt, India, Turkey, Hong Kong, and Brazil,

The judging panel consists of 18 experts from various leading institutions, including the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Mac Macro International, and HLM Architects.

Regarding this year’s entries, Chris Bond, Director of Facilities Management Consulting for the Middle East and North Africa at Mac Macro International and a member of the judging panel for the 2017 Cityscape Emerging Markets Awards, said: ”The quality and caliber of the entries continue to be outstanding, and this year we welcomed the return of some of the biggest names in the region’s real estate development sector, which underscores the awards“ strong reputation within the industry.”

He added: “There is no doubt that sustainability plays a major role, but we have seen remarkable growth in planning and in how facilities management is implemented. The judging panel has been anticipating excellence in this area for several years, which is evidence of the continued maturity in clients’ choices, as operating costs have come to be considered just as important as construction costs.”

The awards cover real estate projects across various sectors—commercial, community, cultural, tourism, residential, sustainability, hospitality and leisure, and retail. They also serve as a platform for leading architects and development firms from around the world to share their visions and expectations for the future, ranging from mixed-use towers to sustainable communities.
