The Riyadh Real Estate Exhibition (Restatex 17), which was inaugurated by Minister of Housing Dr. Shuish bin Saud Al-Duwaihi at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, attracted significant participation, with more than 80 real estate and financial institutions and local banks showcasing their offerings and products, amid unprecedented competition among real estate development companies specializing in residential construction from Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Eastern Province, as well as banks and financing companies. The exhibition, which ran from April 27–30, 2014, attracted a large turnout of executives and officials from leading real estate development and investment companies, as well as banks and financing companies from Saudi Arabia, the Gulf region, the wider region, and internationally.
