In accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Justice,  the 10th of Rabi“ al-Awwal will mark a new beginning for digital transformation in notarial services, according to an announcement made yesterday by Dr. Walid Al-Samaani, Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, after he instructed notary offices to eliminate the use of paper in all notarial procedures. The Minister of Justice directed the launch of two services: electronic power of attorney and electronic power-of-attorney notarization. The former addresses the needs of the majority of users of notary public services, enabling them to issue powers of attorney for specific purposes without having to visit notary public offices or notaries, provided the requirements set forth in the Electronic Transactions Law and its implementing regulations are met; the electronic power of attorney will be sent to the mobile number registered with the ”Absher« service.
The Ministry confirmed in a statement yesterday that the electronic notarization of powers of attorney eliminates the need for paper in notarization procedures that require in-person visits to notary offices, so that the service is provided to beneficiaries and the power of attorney is sent to the mobile number registered with the »Absher” service without the need for a paper copy.

For his part, Al-Samani said that the Ministry is working toward the complete digital transformation of notarization services and judicial proceedings, and the electronic power of attorney and electronic notarization services to reinforce the series of previous digital services and initiatives launched by the Ministry, through which, by God’s grace, a number of judicial achievements have been realized as part of the complete digital transformation of services provided to beneficiaries, which supports the delivery of prompt justice and the streamlining of procedures for beneficiaries, as we consider the convenience of beneficiaries and the reduction and simplification of procedures to be our most important objectives.
