The Notary Service of the Ministry of Justice processed more than 22,000 notarization transactions last June, while the total number of notarization transactions since the beginning of this year has exceeded 200,000.
The services ranged from the notarization and revocation of powers of attorney, deeds of conveyance, and real estate mortgages, to financial disclosures, corrections to real estate deeds, and the notarization of corporate contracts.
The Ministry stated that the notary service, mwathiq.sa, aims to make it easier for individuals, institutions, and companies to access notary services anytime and anywhere, with high quality and in a short time.
The Notary Service offers numerous notarization services, including the issuance or revocation of powers of attorney and the notarization of corporate contracts, as well as the notarization of real estate transfers and mortgage services—which include real estate mortgaging, mortgage release, property transfer while the mortgage remains in place, deed correction, and declaration services
financial declarations, which include debt acknowledgment, acknowledgment of debt repayment or waiver, and verification of real estate deeds and powers of attorney through notaries licensed by the Ministry of Justice located throughout the Kingdom.
The Ministry noted that the service enables beneficiaries to request notarization services through the Notary Service app, available on smart devices via the Apple App Store and Google Play.
The Notary Service is one of the Ministry of Justice’s most prominent services delegated to the private sector with the aim of streamlining notarization procedures for beneficiaries, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 for digital transformation. Since the Notarization Law was enacted, the number of licensed notaries has exceeded 2,200, distributed throughout the Kingdom.
