<The Riyadh Municipality adopted the advertising plan for the capital, which was prepared in light of the strategy for developing outdoor advertising within Saudi cities issued by a decision of the Council of Ministers, which included a number of initiatives and enablers aimed at developing the outdoor advertising sector in line with the identity and economics of each city.
His Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Secretary of Riyadh Region, explained that the advertising plan aims to create added value to the city and add an aesthetic dimension to it through distinctive advertising means that keep pace with the latest changes in this sector, in addition to its contribution to improving the urban landscape and enabling the transformation of the city. “The plan includes activating new advertising means such as advertisements on building facades, advertisements on public taxis and buses, advertising packaging for buildings under construction, advertisements on white lands, and identifying digital areas to turn them into major landmarks for the city of Riyadh, with appropriate numbers of panels that add an aesthetic dimension to the city and prevent the unorganized spread of panels on roads and streets.”
The advertising plan includes a plan to offer 13 investment opportunities in the field of outdoor advertising for various advertising media to be announced in the coming weeks, through which the Municipality aims to provide an attractive investment environment for all investors in the field of outdoor advertising to inject quality investments in the city of Riyadh.
The Riyadh Municipality will review and update the city's advertising plan every five years to keep pace with the changes that occur in the outdoor advertising sector and the rapid development witnessed by the city.
