The “Sakani” program report for September 2021 revealed the launch of a number of new housing services for the beneficiaries of the program through the “Sakani” website and application.

The report included the number of beneficiary families and housing projects under construction that are being implemented, and the number of real estate transaction certificates that have been issued electronically within the program's efforts to enable Saudi families to own the first home, with the aim of increasing the ownership rate to 70 percent by 2030, to achieve the objectives of the housing program - one of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 programs.

The report showed that the number of real estate transaction tax bearing certificates for the first home since the beginning of the program until the end of August 2021 reached 542,164 certificates, reviewing the housing and financing solutions provided by the program, including subsidized mortgage loans in cooperation with banks and financial institutions to buy ready-made housing units under construction or self-construction for those who own land, and booking residential lands within the 223 “Sakani” plans that provide more than 180,000 lands.

The report indicated that more than 145 thousand families benefited from all the housing and financing options and solutions provided by the program until August 2021, of which 115 thousand families lived in their homes within eight months, while the number of families benefiting from the program during August recorded 21 thousand new families, including more than 17 thousand families who lived in their homes.

The report reviewed the developments of construction updates in 82 projects that have begun implementation to provide more than 120,000 housing units ranging from apartments, villas and townhouses with high quality, affordable prices and quality of life standards, as well as the launch of four new residential projects, “Al-Andalusia” and ”Mila” in the suburb of Khayala in Jeddah Governorate, as well as “Rawa” in the suburb of Al-Jawan in Riyadh, and ”Aris Residential” in Khobar Governorate, within 106 projects under construction providing more than 146 thousand units of various types.

The “Sakani” website and application added four new services, including “real estate market” to allow the sale and purchase of ready-made housing units, ”e-finance” in partnership with several financing entities, ”interior design” within the post-housing services, and ”approved contractor” for beneficiaries of the self-construction option, in addition to Integrated electronic services that start from registration and knowing the status of entitlement immediately, reserving residential units and lands after inspecting their locations and knowing their features, ”price quotes”, real estate consultant service, ”engineering designs”, issuing building permits for beneficiaries of self-building, and other services.
