Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transportation, said that the Dammam-Jubail-Ras Al-Khair railway is under implementation, expecting it to open before the middle of next year.

Jasser added in an interview with “Al-Ikhbariya” channel, that there is a railway network project inside the city of Jubail to connect the huge factories located in the city with the ports of Jubail and Dammam and the national network.

He explained that the land bridge, represented by a railway line linking the west and east of the Kingdom, is one of the most important national strategic projects for transportation and logistics. He pointed out that the bridge is a railway line linking Yanbu to King Abdullah Economic City, Jeddah Port and Riyadh, where the project will include upgrading the existing line from Riyadh to the East, as well as a number of logistics cities.
