The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, with the aim of accrediting the craft license and professional examination certificate with the two ministries, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Qattan, Head of the Municipal Services and Infrastructure Sector and Supervisor of the City Operators Regulatory Agency at the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing and Dr. Adnan Al-Naim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development for International Affairs.

This agreement is based on the principle of cooperation between government sectors by building strategic partnerships to achieve common interests, as it aims to enhance cooperation and seek the best ways to improve the services provided in Saudi cities, by maximizing the benefit of obtaining a professional license and professional examination in a number of commercial activities supervised by the municipal sector, by verifying the presence of the required scientific qualification or experience and skill of workers to carry out the work assigned to them.

This agreement comes in line with the principle of cooperation between government sectors by building strategic partnerships to achieve common interests.

The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing was represented by the Director General of Business Quality, Engineer Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Zahrani, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Director of the Professional Accreditation Program, Saad bin Abdullah Al-Aqeel.

The two parties agreed to adopt the craft licenses issued by the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing as a legal document under which the worker is granted a professional examination certificate from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development without the need to take a test, and to adopt the professional examination certificate issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development as a legal document under which the craft license is issued.

The two parties also agreed to establish a technical link through which the data of the professionally licensed workers on "Baladi" platform and the workers who have obtained a professional examination certificate on "Qawwa" platform will be shared, allowing the beneficiary to choose the path through which he wishes to license his workers, whether by craft license on "Baladi" platform or professional examination through "Qawwa" platform.

The two parties also agreed to establish a technical link through which the data of craft licensed workers on "Baladi" platform will be shared.

The agreement addresses the duplication in 81 cross-cutting occupations between the occupational inspection program and the craft licensing service, as it was agreed that workers with a diploma-level educational qualification in these occupations will be granted an occupational inspection certificate for one year only without the need to take the occupational inspection test, provided that the worker will be required to take the occupational inspection test and obtain the occupational inspection certificate in the following year.

The agreement addresses the duplication in 81 cross-cutting occupations between the occupational inspection program and the craft licensing service.
