The Supreme Commission for the Development of Riyadh City is preparing to launch a population survey for the city of Riyadh: Population size, socio-economic characteristics, migration and unemployment data, transportation information and daily trips of households, in addition to monitoring the data of housing units in terms of: Building type, area, number of rooms, and type of ownership.

This survey comes as an extension of a series of studies and surveys conducted by the Higher Authority for the Development of Riyadh City during the past 30 years, which started in 1407 AH and continued in 1411, 1417 and 1425 AH, as the city's population increased about five times during this period.
