He took the oath of office before the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud —may God preserve him—at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah yesterday. His Excellency Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, who was appointed Minister of Housing by royal decree, said: “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful… I swear by Almighty God to be loyal to my religion, then to my King and my country, and not to disclose any of the state’s secrets, and to safeguard its interests and systems, and to perform my duties with honesty, integrity, devotion, and justice).
The Minister of Housing then conveyed his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, who urged him—may God support him—to look after the interests of the citizens, wishing him success in the duties entrusted to him.
His Excellency the Minister of Housing expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the precious royal trust, asking God to assist him in fulfilling his responsibilities to the fullest and to live up to the high expectations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques —may God preserve him—.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Interior, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense.
