The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing MOMRA, represented by the Development Housing Agency, announced the ownership of 6,000 housing units for the neediest families in various regions of the Kingdom during the first half of the current year 2024, as part of the ministry's efforts to provide adequate housing for the beneficiaries of “development housing”.

In a press release, the ministry explained that it seeks to pump more than 18,000 new housing units for the beneficiaries of developmental housing during the second half of this year, with the aim of enabling the neediest families to own suitable housing.

The ministry pointed out that Developmental Housing has contributed since the beginning of the year to supporting more than 19,000 cases of rent defaulters to achieve social protection for those who are unable to pay rent, and conducting 25,000 developmental interventions to meet the developmental needs of beneficiary families, in addition to processing 15,000 requests for services to enhance beneficiary satisfaction.

On the level of volunteer efforts, the ministry revealed that more than 117,000 volunteers participated in the development and sustainability of Saudi cities during the same period, including 45,000 volunteers in improving the urban landscape, beautifying parks and maintaining public facilities in the Kingdom's regions, in addition to 17.5,000 volunteers participating in monitoring visual distortion elements and controlling residential units.

More than 17.5 thousand volunteers participated in monitoring elements of visual distortion and control of housing units. It is noteworthy that “Developmental Housing” is one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing aimed at providing housing units for the neediest families covered by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development "Social Security", in cooperation with more than 300 NGOs.
