The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in coordination with the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, announced the end of the specified period for the implementation of the ministerial decision dated 15 / 7, 1435 AH, regarding the ban on working under direct sunlight at all facilities, which lasted for three months, beginning on Saturday, 9 Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 AH, corresponding to June 15, 2024 CE, and ended today, Sunday, 12 Rabi" al-Awwal 1446 AH, corresponding to September 15, 2024 AD.

This decision stems from the commitment of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health to safeguard the safety and health of workers and provide them with a safe and healthy work environment, in accordance with occupational safety and health requirements.

The compliance rate among establishments with the decision to prohibit work under the sun sun this year reached 94.6%. During the implementation period, the Ministry coordinated with the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health to direct employers to organize work hours and comply with the provisions of the decision to reduce occupational injuries and illnesses, The National Council for Occupational Safety and Health also launched media awareness campaigns highlighting the importance of implementing the decree and distributed the procedural guide on occupational safety and health to prevent the effects of sun exposure and heat stress.
