Companies providing water and electricity services to all beneficiaries—citizens and residents alike—to promptly register their meters under the actual beneficiary’s name before the authorities begin procedures to disconnect service from unregistered meters.
The service providers explained that efforts to register meters have been supported by several entities, focusing on raising awareness and highlighting the importance of registration for both the customer and the service provider, and that numerous user-friendly online channels have been made available to facilitate and complete the registration process; these channels remain accessible to all customers of the Saudi Electricity Company, the National Water Company, and Marafiq Company.
They noted that failure to register the meter will result in the suspension of additional services and the inability to process any requests, services, or complaints submitted by the customer, The final step in the non-verification process is disconnecting the service from the meter until verification and connection are completed. The suspension of additional services will begin gradually after 30 days, culminating in the permanent disconnection of the service from the meter.
If customers have any questions regarding the verification process, they can contact service providers directly through the available call centers and their social media accounts.
