The prices of rebar in Saudi Arabia during the month of January recorded varying increases in most categories, with a limited exception that saw a decline in prices, while the prices of cables, electrical wires and timber varied, according to the bulletin of average prices of goods and services issued by the Statistics Authority.
Rebar prices rose in all but one category
<The prices of rebar witnessed varying increases, as the price of a ton of rebar (8 mm) increased by a slight 0.01% to reach 2785.53 riyals, and the price of (10 mm) increased by 0.1% to 2829.87 riyals. Rebar (12 mm) rose by 1.1% to reach 2803.26 riyals, the same percentage by which the price of (14 mm) rose to 2803.75 riyals, and (16 mm) to 2804.56 riyals. Rebar (18 mm) rose by 1.2% to reach 2804.53 riyals per ton. In contrast, rebar (6 mm) was the only category that recorded a decrease, as its price fell by 2.1% to reach 3899.48 riyals.
Different prices of electrical wires and cables
Electrical wire prices increased, with the price of (2.5mm) increasing by 2.5% to reach SR1.24 per meter, while the price of (4mm) increased by 1.2% to reach SR1.76, and (6mm) increased by 1.1% to reach SR2.76 per meter.
As for the prices of electric cables, the price of (10 mm) decreased by 1.1% to 21.81 riyals, and the price of (25 mm) decreased by 0.5% to 47.7 riyals per meter. The price of (50mm) decreased by 0.6% to 88.09 riyals, and (70mm) recorded a decline of 1.3% to 126.39 riyals. In contrast, the price of (35mm) cable rose slightly by 0.02% to 62.81 riyals, and (95mm) rose by 0.8% to 176.27 riyals.

Some timber prices fell and African teak rose
Wood prices witnessed variation in January, as the price of Chilean wood decreased by 2.3% to reach 1514.78 riyals, and the price of Romanian wood decreased by 0.6% to reach 1477.69 riyals. In contrast, the price of African teak increased by 0.3% to reach 6201.32 riyals, while the price of Indonesian Appalachian wood decreased by 0.8% to 3145.81 riyals per cubic meter.
