The second day of the Global Infrastructure Forum and Exhibition, held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, concluded yesterday amid wide participation from local and international experts and specialists, with the number of visitors on the second day exceeding 9,000 visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom.

The forum continued with 8 panel discussions that discussed the most prominent future trends in smart cities and digital infrastructure, covering various topics related to digital infrastructure and urban intelligence, sustainable development, smart mobility and connected transport, governance, policies and citizen-oriented services, in addition to public-private cooperation and future strategies."

This session was attended by a number of participants from the public and private sectors. <A number of prominent speakers participated in these sessions, including the Director General of the Organization for Digital Cooperation, Dr. Hajar Al-Hadawi; the Head of Urban Excellence at the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Dr. Martin Davies; the Head of Smart Cities at the Eastern Province Municipality, Engineer Mohammed Daifallah bin Hajna; the Director of Information Technology and Smart Cities at Knowledge Economic City, Mohammed Shah; Principal Urban Planner at Atkins Realis, Engineer Felina; Director of New Logistics Zones at the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Alaa Banbilah; and Executive Director of Geospatial Data Governance at Al Ain Authority for Urban Planning and Planning, Dr. Hajar Al-Hadawi. Participants emphasized that the future of smart cities in the Kingdom depends on the integration of digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence applications, which contributes to enhancing the quality of life, increasing spending efficiency, achieving sustainable urban development, and making Riyadh one of the most prominent smart cities globally.
