<Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Tawfiq Fawzan Al-Rabiah, will inaugurate at 8:30 pm on June 22, 2014, the Riyadh International Exhibition, which is the first and largest of its kind in the Kingdom and the Gulf countries under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and organized by Relations for International Exhibitions and Conferences with the participation of 16 Gulf, Arab and international countries, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Authority for Investment, the Saudi Development Bank, the Council of Saudi Chambers and media sponsored by Saudi Research Group (SRG). On this occasion, Engineer Osama bin Mohammed Makki Al-Kurdi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Relations for Exhibitions and Conferences, the organizer of the exhibition, expressed his happiness for the opening of this international exhibition by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, which reflects the interest of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to strengthen trade and economic relations with friendly countries and benefit from the expertise available from giant international companies.

Al-Kurdi stressed the pivotal importance of the exhibition sector in the economies of developed countries, and praised the Cabinet's decision to approve the organization of the National Program for Exhibitions and Conferences, whose supervisory committee is headed by HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman, Chairman of the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities.

Al-Kurdi concluded his statement by saying: ”I thank all the official bodies sponsoring the exhibition and I also thank all the embassies representing their countries, as well as all companies, institutions, bodies, associations, local, Arab and international banks, and I invite the public to attend the opening and events.”
