Stimulating housing supply
The ministry explained that its efforts to stimulate housing supply and real estate development resulted in the launch of more than 108,000 housing units within the off-plan sales product, in addition to issuing sales licenses for more than 97,000 housing units, reflecting the maturity of the regulatory environment, the high efficiency of development tools, enhancing the reliability of the real estate market, and stimulating private sector participation in increasing the housing supply.
In the aspect of beneficiary empowerment and housing support, more than 18,000 housing units were handed over to beneficiaries, within integrated support tracks that aim to enable Saudi families to own property, enhance housing stability, and balance between supply and demand in various regions of the Kingdom.
Offering land through the Sakany platform
The efforts also included offering more than 12,000 plots of land through the “Sakani” platform, which contributes to expanding ownership options, supporting urban planning and raising the efficiency of land use within urban areas to keep pace with population growth.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing emphasized that these achievements come as an extension of its strategy to increase the efficiency of the housing supply, enhance financing solutions, and develop regulations and legislation that support the sustainability of the housing sector, noting that the ministry is continuously working to strengthen the partnership with the private and non-profit sectors, accelerate the pace of implementation, and achieve a sustainable economic and social impact that contributes to raising the percentage of housing ownership and achieving the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
