Deputy Minister of Justice Saad bin Mohammed Al Saif directed all courts and notaries to stop all planning, subdivision and division work in the Tuwaiq Reserve, including centers, villages, residential complexes and farms, and to gradually transfer inappropriate activities, inventory government lands and take measures to protect them.
These directives came based on the proposal of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister to adopt the “Tuwaiq Reserve”, which includes the natural areas located north and west of Riyadh and west of Wadi Hanifa and the west of Wadi Hanifa and the valleys, reefs and mountain edges that contain all lands located west of King Khalid Road and Salbukh Road extending from Wadi Laban and Jeddah Road in the south to the Harimla Road and Raghba in the north, and east of the road extending from Raghba to Al-Barra and meeting with Riyadh-Dhuraima Road, as well as east of Dhuraima to the border of Qiddiya in the south, with an area 3 square kilometers.300 square kilometers.
