Digital Sovereignty is the protective fortress of cyberspace, so the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has placed the preservation and management of its national data under its legislative authority as a top priority to ensure security and national interest.<To achieve this sovereignty, the Kingdom launched an integrated system of policies, investments and partnerships, during which it succeeded in reducing its digital platforms from 817 to 550 platforms to simplify the user experience, supported by a technical system to protect personal data that enhanced its investment attractiveness to cloud service providers and international technology companies through incentives and economic zones.<The Kingdom topped the International Telecommunication Union's Digital Readiness Index and achieved first place globally in the Communications, Technology and Cybersecurity Development Index. It also jumped to sixth place globally in the United Nations e-Government Development Index with a 25-place ranking, and seventh place in the e-Participation Index with a 36-place ranking, thus formulating its own concept of leadership and digital sovereignty.
